American Legion Kirby Stewart Post 24, Inc. is located at 2000 75th St. W. in Bradenton, Florida and was Chartered on June 5, 1919.

Post 24 is an American Legion Family, consisting of Legion, Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Riders.  During the 2023-2024 Legion year, our Post grew in membership to over 900 members.

All four of our family groups are charged with supporting the Four Pillars of the American Legion; Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism and Children & Youth. Each of our family groups supports Veterans, Veteran Families, the Community and all the programs of The American Legion.

PROGRAMS SUPPORTED:

Oratorical, Boys State, Blood Donor, Disaster Preparedness, Youth Law Cadet, Project: Vet Relief, Children & Youth and others.

Kirby Stewart Post 24 has been fortunate enough to have several of its members serve on the District, Area and Department Levels.  Currently, we have a member servings as the 8th District Commander, another member is the Southwestern Area Commander and also an officer in the 8th District, and a third member is the Department Historian and an officer in the 8th District.  All three of these legionnaires also serve on the Department Executive Committee.
